During the last few weeks SOBER’s newly appointed Executive Committee arranged scores of working
level meetings with various entities and stakeholders. A summary is as below:
SOBER attended its first formal meeting with new leadership of MSM Security on 3rd January 2023 and had an in-depth review of the Security issues. A plan of action is being discussed to incorporate significant changes in security SOPs. More details for these changes in security posture will be shared in coming weeks.
Earlier, SOBER visited the BE/MSM Security offices and local police station SHO establishing a formal line of communication and raised with relevant officials the car accident and theft incidents the same day. SOBER also visited two different residents affected by theft incidents to get abreast of the situation and do the needful for eradication of such incidents in future.
SOBER attended an informal meeting with BE Senior leadership to understand the Solar and Load Shedding issues and proposed corrective measures to save the residents from inconvenience.
SOBER met with BE Maintenance, Facilities, Water, and Electricity Billing Depts for introduction and obtaining updates regarding resolution of ongoing issues.
SOBER hosted its first EC7 emergency meeting on 19th December 2023 to urgently formulate a plan of action to deal with increasing/alarming security issues in BE.
SOBER is also in coordination with different forums and individuals for various upcoming initiatives to be undertaken for betterment of community, the details of which will be shared in due course of time.
SOBER is in the process of inducting fellow residents especially female members from the community to form Working Committees such as Security, Maintenance, Health, Community Engagement, Education and Career Counseling etc. Formation of these committees is aimed towards uniting all factions of our residents and to have better, instantaneous, and fruitful interactions with each other.
We are still pursuing with previous SOBER leadership regarding complete handing over of the affairs & record and once the handing over process is completed, we plan to continue with making available online membership to increase our members base, further strengthen our body, and be inclusive for the community.
Your continuous support, constructive feedback, and participation is requested to make BE a thriving place for living.
